The concept of fellowship extends beyond physical presence; it involves a deep, spiritual connection. First Baptist has a large group of senior adults who participate in all ministries of the church. The Senior Adult Committee sponsors outings and events that feature interesting programs and warm fellowship. Day trips and short overnight trips are planned throughout the year and at least once a year the Committee plans an extended trip. Past extended destinations have included the Canadian Rockies, New England Fall Foliage trips, Yellowstone/Badlands, Canyonlands, Alaska, Nova Scotia, European river cruises, Russia, Italy, France, Spain and more. Trips closer to home have included Savannah/Charleston, Branson, Nashville, Gulf Shores, Holland, Michigan’s Tulip Festival, Niagara Falls and many more.
