Our mission
Collide is the name for our middle school ministry, encompassing 5th-7th graders. This ministry is specifically designed to help transition kids to the youth group. This is an important time for kids to sense that they have a sense of belonging, and this group is designed to give them that safe place as they ask questions, experience peer pressures, and grow in their faith. They have a separate Sunday School & Wednesday night group, and curriculum is chosen tailored to their stage of life and specific needs in their faith development.Our volunteers
We are looking for passionate individuals to join our Collide Ministry team as volunteers! If you love working with middle school aged kids and want to make a positive impact on their lives, please consider lending your time and talents. Let us know if you would be interested and willing to share your gifts with our children in one of our regular programs. Is teaching not your cup of tea? We are always looking for greeters at our Welcome Desk on Sunday mornings, chaperones for various trips, and individuals to mentor and be a listening ear.
wonderful wednesdays
Over the summer although regular Wednesday night activities cease, Collide kids have gatherings for fellowship on Wednesday nights. These include movie nights, dinner outings, a trip to Six Flags, and a pool party. These touchpoints over the summer keep us connected and strengthen friendship bonds in our group.
passport camps
Passport is a four day, three night overnight camp in Eatonton GA at Rock Eagle 4-H Center. Open to kids starting the summer after their 3rd grade year until the summer after their 6th grade year, this is a wonderful week where we grow closer as a church family through daily worship, missions, recreational activities and Bible study.
collide christmas
Hosted at the home of our children's pastor Mrs. Kristen, this is a night of hilarious minute-to-win-it games, a lively gift exchange, and of course, holiday treats galore. We finish off the evening with a Christmas movie complete with hot cocoa & popcorn. A wonderful time of fellowship with our middlers while also remembering the reason for the Season.
