The Mission of First Baptist Church is to be a community of believers where we seek to mold our lives after the heart of Jesus Christ, and where we seek to be His hands in missions and ministry.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. Where do I park when I arrive?
Street parking in front of the Sanctuary fills pretty quickly. We have two designated areas on 1st Street. One next to the Chapel, and the other directly across the street. You can also park in the deck across 4th Avenue from the church.
2. What type of worship service do you have?
At First Baptist, our services follow a specific theme each week through prayers, hymns, readings, special music and the sermon. Care is taken to make this hour as meaningful as possible, with all elements of the service focusing our minds and affections on God.
3. What do I wear?
There is no dress code at FBC. We invite you to come as you are, but most of our members do lend themselves to their "Sunday Best."
4. What are your security measures?
We take safety very seriously. Access to our children and youth education areas are secured by coded access. We have a paid off-duty Rome City police officer in the building on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights.
5. Where do I take my children?
Preschool aged children can be dropped off on the Preschool Hall on the first floor. Older children through 4th grade participate in the first part of "Big Church." They are then welcome to go with the other children their age to Children's Worship. They will be brought back to the Sanctuary at the end of the service. Preschool aged children must be picked up on the Preschool Hall.
6. Where can I watch your service online?
We broadcast our services on YouTube every Sunday morning. You can also view them on our website here.
7. What weekly opportunities are available for Bible Study?
In addition to Sunday mornings at 9:45 a.m. we also have weekly opportunities for Bible Study. Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. is our Scrap Iron Bible Study. You can listen live to that study on WLAQ AM1410, 96.9FM, or online here. A women's study group meets each Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. Currently on Wednesdays at lunch we offer our Midday Summer Series: Prayers & Reflections. This year's series focuses on the history of FBC.
